I am paying attention to Don Mattingly to see if you can hang on this year. If he does not make it his 15th year, how soon can he be on the Veteran's Committee Ballot?
I am pleasantly surprised about Mike Mussina getting some good support. I thought that since David Cone quickly faded off the ballot that Mussina would have a much harder time.

But he gets my vote for more than a decade of ace performance that included three 20-win seasons, Cy Young Award votes in seven seasons and Most Valuable Player Award votes in five. As for those who played during the period of PED use, I won't vote for any of them. >>

Exactly, and it's off but for some reason people tend to block out the PED use in the 70's and the 80's and only focus on the 90's on up. I understand in the 90's it became a much bigger problem but that shouldn't exempt the earlier players.
