Preservation help! Barroom napkins!

I'm mainly a coin collector and I figured you guys could help me in this area more. I have a couple NFL autographs that are on barroom napkins. I plan to frame them along with their appropriate rookie cards. The cards have proper sleeves but I'm worried about the napkins sticking to the glass of a regular picture frame over time. Is there something I can put them in before I frame them that would prevent this? Do you think it would be a problem without anything? Thanks for any help!

I think there's a pretty simple solution: take the napkins and place them in a PVC-free 8.5x11 sheet (or two) from Ultra Pro or similar and cut roughly to size. Place behind your matting and you should be good to go. Even if you don't have matting, if you cut the sheets down to size it should look fine. Please post pics when done and Happy New Year.

If you want to preserve the napkins long term, you might want to contact a paper preservation expert. The paper itself is not archival in nature so it may need treatment to remove acid for it not to degrade over time. I'm not even in the ballpark of an expert, just have read a number of articles about paper preservation and restoration. My $0.02.

Well I've had them for 10 yrs now just in a box. They seem to be in the same shape as when I got them.

Yes, but when exposed to light and the elements outside of that box, you'll want to at the very least make sure they won't be altered or damaged.

Could he send them into PSA?

I've checked PSA prices and they don't warrant getting them graded.

This will give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. They can be found at most card shops and maybe comic book shops. Should be more than $0.50 each.
