I have never detected on a beach. The sand sieve looks like it would be interesting to use.

The picnic tables in the background of the first young man look interesting areas too.

They didn't find anything. It was about 34°. They got cold and we went home disappointed. Next time we'll find treasure. They were super excited to get out and try their new rigs out though.
