Tim- gotta be a pain in the arse to dust those boxes off all the time.

Me? I enjoy dusting--sell them to meimage

Very cool box Tim. I had never seen a super cello from 1979. I am pretty sure the dust adds both legitimacy and value...I can only imagine what else you have buried away!

It's nice to see more ripping on the board. When you have that many racks, surely you won't miss one or two.

Thanks again, fellas! I'm enjoying photographing these and finally learned how to download pics from the digital camera, lol..

Last up from the unopened collection before the 78 rack rip later tonight, a 1975 Topps baseball rack box. 1975 is my favorite year for baseball cards, and as some of you know, I am partial to the minis, but regular sized 1975 racks have always held great appeal to me, as well.

And speaking of 75 minis, the 1975 mini rack pack is one of the toughest issues to find for 70s unopened. When Charlie Conlon passed away, he had cases of mini wax and even cellos, but a grand total of 3 mini rack packs.

This mini rack, sadly, is no longer with us, but his demise was not without redemption, as my PSA 9 mini Yount #223 was plucked from his header cell.

    Tim,

Awesome would be an understatement to describe the pictures thus far and your collection.

Nice rip from the 78 pack you opened.

    Keep posting the pics.

Way too cool! I've never seen the 79T super cellos before.

Don't have any cellos from 1979.

    Thanks again, guys!

Mike, don't worry, we went off on a bit of a tangent there, but we are approaching the 78 rack rip very shortly now!

OK, so the 78 rack is under the knife, lol. Opened the far section first which yielded 13 total cards, out of which which these three were the sharpest:

Middle section also yielded 13 total cards. These were the best 4 from that cell. On to the header (Murray) section next!

Well, the good news is, the header section contained a Murray RC! But this cell (unfortunately) was also the weakest cell for centering, too..That said, it was still a thrill to slide a card away to reveal scowling Eddie underneath!

Yes, I bet you do--not many pitchers can say that they retired from MLB undefeated and with a K/IP ratio of 8.7!

Actually that card was graded correctly as it had a slight smudge. I threw it in there because it was the Molitor RC.

    Thanks, Shane!

Will post some scans of the graded cards this weekend.
