This is part of the reason I love early copper- the obverse has been triple struck- first faintly to the left of
the main strike, then a little harder to the right of the main strike and finally the last strike - BUT the reverse
only shows one strike - I'm guessing the planchet stayed stationary but the obverse die was rotating slightly.
You'll also notice the reverse die has pretty much failed and would soon be pulled out of service
