While I'm a type collector with limited resources, I've seriously considered starting a seated half series collection because I've fallen in love with the design and denomination. Perhaps someday I'll follow your example!

I started working on one a few years back. I assembled 36 dates/mm, purposely excluding the commonest ones, like the 54O, 58P, 53 A&R,
but decided there are just too many tough coins....when I posted the 'set' on the BST last spring, I had multiple offers within hours.

Finally able to respond since the slowness has passed. No registry set for this type for me. I am working on a set of seated halves, and I know that's a set I'll never complete. The chase is fun though! If I complete the 1860's, that might be complete enough for me. Bellow is a link to my set so far, a 49-O is on its way and will be added soon.

That's one of the sets I built and sold many years ago, and seriously regret selling...but putting it back together would be many multiples of what I sold it for.

I looked at your set from link provided. Looks like most are PCGS....cross the others and do a Registry Set.

OK . . . Can someone please clue me in on why this coin is Graded XF-45?
I know the hair is somewhat lacking detail but looking at the other obverse details, it looks more like a weak strike to me.

The details (if the hair is weakly struck) looks solid AU. Would it get knocked back because of the dark streak, lack of mint luster . . . or ? ! ? !

Just trying to learn here, thanks.

    BTW she's a beaut ! ! !

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
