Hi guy's, I was discussing with my dealer friend about how cool the gimmick of placing coins (Sacagawea Dollar/Lincoln cent) in cereal boxes for collector's. Not realizing these would turn out to be BIG premiums in the future! This is when my buddy told me that they did the same premise with packs of cigarettes, placing two pennies in the packs. In which, turned out to be the discovery of the 55 double die. WoW! I did not know this. How many of you guy's did? " You learn something new everyday".-joey

<< <i>Not just the Boston area... it was here in NYS as well.... My Dad would send me down to the corner store for a pack of cigarettes.... I remember him commenting on the '55 DDO....said it messed up his vision...

<< <i>Was thinking about this the other day - it would be cool if any of the sealed cigarette packs exist with the doubled die cents still in them. Not likely I know ... >>
It would be neat to see an original one. That is also an idea for the Chinese counterfeiters to work on.
