Based on advice from a respected member of this board, I will let paypal handle this issue. Sad.

Wow, that's a blast from the past!

Search Hager and ACG on the forum and see what you find.

    Yes. Rec.Collecting.Coin (RCC)
The lawsuit made a lot of people run for cover.

All I remember of Alan Hager when he appeared occassionally at a Canadian coin show here in Toronto, is when he spoke you could here him no matter where you were at the coin show.

His voice 'boomed' across the room and he usually was telling a story of a $60,000 coin he sold or how he won a lawsuit against many others.

He's the type of person I think when he looks into the mirror, a big smile appears on his face.

The OP was complaining about Alan Hagar selling him a large cent that was grossly misrepresented. The OP showed a pic of a coin that showed relatively smooth surfaces and a second pic of the coin that he actually received with very porous surfaces that looked quite different from the pic in Alan Hagar's web site. I think he was advised by PM to delete his posts because Alan Hagar has a history of suing anyone that criticizes him.

    Uh-oh.....

I could be in trouble if there's a law against saying someone has a booming voice.

What I was posting about is not so much the coin not being as described, that happens a lot on ebay. My issue is that I returned the coin and he hasn't refunded my money and has relisted the coin on ebay. Now he is offering to give me a refund once he resells it. I am sure paypal will make it right once my claim gets reviewed. This whole fiasco was a first for me.

Now when paypal steps in he will say i was the victom here, They did not let me sell on E-Bay becuse of it that is why i did not give him his $$ back but paypal will give you your $$$ back and they can play with him, You don't need to do business with him any more or talk to him. I'll give you your $$$ back after i sell it again i dont think so. image
