Flipping through a Floyd T. Starr auction catalog and found...

my notes of lots I bid on in January 1993
I was just doing some research on a coin that sold in one of the sales and pulled catalogs off the bookshelf for the first time in two decades. I was shocked to find this inside as did lot viewing at Stack's office for both the 1992 & 1993 Floyd T. Starr auction and then mailed in my bids sheets. As I recall I won about 2-4 lots but was outbid on most. Figured it would be neat to post to compare to today's prices as these where full raw sales.

Were these undergraded raw?
What do the asterisks signify?

<< <i>Two questions:

Yes everything on the list was raw and the asterisks was for the ones that actually made it onto the bid sheet. I won 4 lots and they all graded out the same to 2 points higher at PCGS back in the day when you had to submit through an authorized dealer. I sold them all between 93-95 and do not own any of them today.
This is interesting!
Today, you would not even dream of bidding $3800 on a raw 1923-S Peace dollar! If you have the urge, let me know, I have some!

All the dollars were rainbow toned and your correct as honestly today I'd only bid on 1 item on this list.
<< <i>All those choice early proofs and this is what you were after?
Stack's broke the sets up by listing each denomination with it's own lot number and I didn't have the capitol to go all or nothing on any set.
I did view them and saw them again later at a show when Scott Travers had some of them in NGC holders grading in as high as PR69.
<< <i>Any notes on the 1872 $10? Freaking gorgeous piece.... >>
Best I can do without breaking the spine on the catalog
It sold for $35,200.00 with the 10% BP.
