Shoddy Quality Control at US Mint, c. 1833


(initially I thought this was an 1833 LM-8 die marriage due to the size of the cud, but after in hand inspection, I attribute it as an 1833 LM-1...both die marriages are known for relatively large cud formation in late die states)
