5 more Morgans back from the PF (True Views)

...all 5 are going into my set registry. I am happy that I have my first CC to add image I was hoping for a 63 on the 91p, but it is what it is; when it is. All from eBay as usual.

  • Love the reverse on the CC. Nice! image
Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

<< <i>Nice toning on the CC reverse. Die polish like crazy on the '78, eh? >>

Yeah, the guy I got it from thought it was harshly cleaned image the die polish is even more wicked in hand. You would probably be upset if I told you the CC was cracked out of a GSA holder...cause it was image

Why did you crack it out? PCGS now grades them within the GSA holder, and they usually go for more in those holders as well.
All coins kept in bank vaults.

I had it graded by ANACS intact with the holder at ms62... I never planned on selling it and recently I decided to start a Morgan registry set. I love the True View service. I have another 84cc intact in the GSA. The GSA holder that the said coin was in was super scratched. I understand why some folks (most folks) would think I was crazy...maybe I was. But in the end, I work hard for my money (and I don't make very much of it)...I have a pregnant wife and a little daughter (almost 3). There might be a couple other reasons but all in all; I have zero regrets image

...ohh yeah, one more reason...because I LOVE MY Morgans and this is a hobby/passion for me...ROI means nothing to me when it comes to them. Hope that helps a bit.

P.S.S I just looked at your registry sets and you my friend...have some AMAZING coins...I Salute you image

lol...lol again. I do think its a 63, however I made a promise to myself in the beginning of my registry set (since it cost me $30 per coin for grade + TV, that I would never try and crack and re-submit. It only makes sense do to the fact that this is my personal collection and I am not looking for profit. So, one shot, one kill...I took the bullet on that one IMO, but I will live to fight another day image

...on a side note, I am the next person in line to be accepted as an Advanced Collector over at CAC, so maybe one day I will send some of my pieces into JA to get a sticker. FWIW, I joined the waiting list about 6 months ago when I gained an interest in collecting older slabs.

I come from a background of sports gambling, so I certainly know how to take a lump and move on to the next game with a smile image

    Great strike on that '81-O . . . Wonderful toning on that '84-CC . . . AND whom ever graded that "to die for" '91 a 62 needs to have their grading license revoked image . . . Solid '63 IMO . . .
