Yeah, but you wouldn't have something unique like this Clovis point. A person with this kind of disposable income doesn't want what everybody else has, and is willing to pay for it.

<< <i>Any chance that this is a knife considering its 9" length? The base could have been wrapped with leather to create a handle. >>
I said this yesterday. I actually own a Native American Made Knife. It is made out of a deer antler, deer tendon and stone of course.
This is either a spear point or knife point and likely has nothing to do with an arrowhead as has been mentioned in the auction description etc...in my opinion of course. Many arrow head points were made from 1-2" stone or from lighter and sharper points made from bone.
The earliest known example is a 17,500 year-old Solutrean atlatl made of reindeer antler and found at Combe Saunière (Dordogne), France. - This fits with this piece that it could have been a throwing spear with accuracy up to about 20m. As already mentioned, spears not used in conjunction of an atlatl were most commonly hand held and not thrown...if you missed you had a high chance of damaging your spear or endangering yourself if the target was dangerous. Spears were frequently used in fishing and hand held using one's body weight to plunge the spear into the prey.
All my opinion of course and it seems to be the common opinions of others as well.
