    Yup, the 16-D is not rare by any stretch of the imagination, not even in MS FB,...but due to demand they are expensive. PCGS has 286(granted there are likely quite a few crack outs in that number) in MS FB. When you add in the other TPGs there are even more. Not a rare coin. But it sounds like the OP got one or has a story about someone that got one. Hopefully the story is able to rescue the thread because anyone with $10-15K can get one.

    Yes there is a story behind the post and the new owner only buys FB for his set and this may complet the set.
    At last look see it has not been posted and I want the new owner to post the coin.

    It's the right thing to do..

    Just out of respect. Price and grade and grade have little to do with it.

    But the pride of finishing a set of Mercury dimes in MS XXFB is harder than one thinks.

    That feeling is priceless.
