Mini show report

Went to a small local coin show today. Maybe 20 tables of what seemed to be mostly part timers and couple professionals.
First off I had to laugh at the advertising budget: Expenses were spared.

It was actually very nice and enjoyable. Saw many coins that I only have read about or seen here. Everyone was very friendly
Decided to look specifically for a low to mid grade Braided Hair half cent for my 7070. None to be found but one nice young dealer had several gorgeous AU's & MS's.
Anyways I looked at a raw VF+ 1877 Trade Dollar needed, that was very fairly priced and I passed.
Looked at several other nice coins but bottom line is I left empty handed.

I don't want to write about it.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Non-buyers relief a few times.
Non-buyers indifference a few times.
But all with very limited frequency in terms of items I remember.

You know what? You're exactly right. Bad idea.
Let's not look back at what could have been or missed opportunities.
I'm changing the title of this thread from "Ever had non-buyers remorse? Tell us about it" to "mini coin show report."

Where was the show? How was the attendance? What kind of material was there?
I've had non-buyer's remorse - sometimes I should have had non-buyer's remorse, but I ended up with buyer's remorse instead.
Buyer's remorse lasts longer than non-buyer's remorse, in my experience.

that I shouldn't have. But if these items you passed on aren't rare, weren't great deals, and didn't 'speak to you', don't worry, you will find others before long that will make you happy. Learn what a 'nice' coin really is, and don't be afraid to stretch a bit for it when you find it.
<< <i>How about expanding your report to at least a "midi"? >>

Sure.
The show was in the Town of Owego, Tioga County NY. This is about 15 miles west of Binghamton, NY.
The show was from 10 AM to 3 PM.
I arrived about 10:30 and it was quite crowded. Difficult to get to a table as the room was quite small.
It really thinned out by 12:30, when I left.
There was lots of raw and some slabbed type. Not many commems. Some stamps and currency.
Plenty of Morgans, naturally.
One young dealer stood out. I'm very embarrassed that I didn't even get his name even though we chatted a while and he showed me a few coins.
He did say he was from north of Syracuse.
He has an excellent eye based on the coins he had.
He had everything imaginable, blast white and toned. I don't get around much but it was impressive to me.

I'm sure you could get that young dealer's name from the show promoter - it would be interesting to find out if he has a shop or a website.
