People here tend to call virtually every circulated coin "circ cam". Your coins look untampered with. I'm not sure the term applies or means much in and of itself.

image true. Of course it's better than saying.." Here are a couple of new ugly peace dollars I picked up "...
Now PQ, there's a straight forward, clear description for you !image

Those are no where near cam.... and certainly way too dark for my taste ..... However, if you like them like that, then great, enjoy.... Cheers, RickO

Alright...looks like we've got a hot topic here now image
How about you guys post pics of some "real" circ cams then ? It's not really that mysterious, circ cams are darkly toned coins where the devices have been worn to a lighter color.
It does not mean that these where at one point cameo coins that got dropped into circulation...

These Peace dollars fit the bill. That's not to say they are super nice ones, or that most people would like them or want them in a collection. Just that they have that particular look.
It's seems rather odd to state that these are not something that they clearly are....darkly toned coins with the devices worn to a lighter color.

the "look" is pretty clear and self-explanatory but must have eluded you.
-----to help clarify your mis-understanding, if your coin(s) were Proof they would be non-Cameo while my pictured coin would probably be a Deep Cameo.

That's what I'm talking about Keets...here are few from the "junk bowl". Call em what you will, some circ cams are definately better than others...

yes, and as in regular Proof Cameo coins I think the key is the fields, the 1826 Bust Half-Dollar is a very good example of the look.
