He has not been on since April 24, 2012. Is he still around?

If I recall we lost him and Mark Feld both due to the same thread which if I recall centered around the bell lines of a 1951-S Franklin (I may have the date wrong). RWB may have also been a victim of that thread, or was at least booted near the same time.

As would I but I don't think he'll be asking anytime soon.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

He certainly had a lot of knowledge to share, especially in the realm of Franklins if I recall. It's a shame he is not allowed to share it with PCGS forum members any longer...along with RWB and Mark Feld.....

how come no matter how many CU members mention they wish another forum member should be allowed back in...no Mods or any higher-ups even respond to the inquiry??? I understand that if your banned your banned but why not even a decent response by a mod explaining why banned members are not allowed back??? I don't know any of these ex-members although I have heard very good things about Mr. Feld since I live in San Diego, CA.

Seriously....it feels like a Pete Rose situation; no matter how many fans want him in the HOF they just blow it out the door like smoke from a cigar.

I miss Lucybop also. I wonder what happened to her. Her posts were always a breath of fresh air. And her franklin halves were awesome.

I suggest that a general amnesty be announced where banned members get a second chance.

She stopped in a few months ago, just for a few days though I think.

So many interesting and passionate members have been banned.

  • While a couple of good if not sensationally provocative posters were lost during the ban phase, I feel it did a lot to improve the board and it is a better place without the majority of the misfit toys.

Usually, the thread which got the person banned gets deleted instead of edited. And yes, the mods and other forum administrators have the ability to "edit" other peoples forum posts.

They just choose not to and instead delete them which destroys any useful information within the threads.

IIRC, Bushmaster8 stated emphatically that some Franklins for sale in an upcoming auction were not FBL despite what the label stated.
I tended to agree with him but then you don't tame the lion by poking him in the eye............

I believe "feldini" was banned, then was re-instated, and was banned the 2nd time aroundimage Not sure if a 3rd strike is in the "cards", go HR Sox

I like how some coin forums use a 3-strikes rule.

most of the banned members knew the "rules" they were flaunting and didn't care. their bannings have served the forum well by instilling better conduct in those of us who remain. Bushmaster8 was a helpful, knowledgeable collector but if you recall the circumstances surrounding his exit you know that it was well deserved. you can only push the envelope so far.

Have seen many get banned over the years, and many just faded away...new members all the time.... just like life, they come and go for various reasons. Keep on keepin' on..... Cheers, RickO
