Looking for some help with Red lincolns and washingtons

I've been working on a couple dansco sets (Red) Lincoln wheats & (bu) washingtons.
For the most part I use the Grey sheet for prices and the earlier dates seem to be pretty close for the most part (with a few exeptions).
But when you start getting into mid/late 30's forward on the lincolns is so out of whack (ex:1950 bu roll price $110=$2.20 ea) mintage 272,635,000 yet i can't seem to find one for less than $7-8 bucks with minor carbon spots.
Same goes for later date 59-64 washies roll price seems to follow melt prices to a degree about $5-6 bucks each yet baggy bu's sell for $10-12 plus.
The local shows I attend have very little of this type material and when I do find some there priced higher than ebay
So I guess what im asking is there that much of a premium because there's no such reality price guide for them?
Or am I just looking in the Wrong places?
Thanks

It's mostly this.
A lot of these get carded when the silver price is high or the dealer just expects to bargain.
Offer a fair price for the choice coins (10% to 50% over melt, and it will usually be accepted.

I was thinking this, too. Small, local dealers are costing in overhead. eBay has it's share of fees, and single coins of newer and common dates seem to have a "single" premium built in over the much lower roll prices.
Try this place's buy, sell, trade forum and post a WTB-- want to buy thread.

You can often get the cents and quarters you are looking, for at the prices you mention, in slabs.
I've gotten several very nice examples in MS 64 & 65 that I believe were submitted with the hopes of higher grades and fell short.
No carbon and not baggy.
If I were trying to complete an album, I'd have no problem cracking them out and filling the slots.
I agree that you're looking in the wrong places.

I would think that a dealer could buy & sell a BU roll, make a few bucks, and turn his investment over pretty fast . . . If a dealer buys this same BU roll and pieces it out he has his investment tied up, probably much longer, and must hope that 20, 40, or 50 folks come along who want that date/mm. Moreover he has a lot more time/materials/labor tied up selling singles . . . hence the greater compensation.

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

After reading all the advice/thoughts im gonna have to ponder over my next move with the lincolns.
Maybe a slabbed Red set & raw Brown set i just dont know yet.
buying partial sets is something i had'nt considerd before.
As for the bu washingtons I need 4 commonish dates 56,58,59-d,60 then all I have to worry about the first page $$$$$ ones
and pick those up over the next couple years it's really just a set i started a few years back
because i lack focus to finish one set before i start another and now that it's near complete (19 more to go) i seem to be a little more focused on it.
One thing i wish i had was unlimited funds to feed this wicked addiction.
