Oct 19, 2013: 4 silvers including another vintage ring, and maybe a little gold?

Got out today to the place that yielded the older gold ring a couple weeks ago. Ended with a few goodies:

- A vintage Sterling ring with MH maker's mark. Looks to be circa 1951. Could be a garnet as the center stone. Other stones are junk
- a 1943 merc, which was dropped with a 1942 nickel. But, unfortunately, it wasn't a Wartime composition.
- 1942 merc
- 1948-D Roosevelt dime
- 2 buffalo nickels - 1936, dateless
- 1906 IHC
- couple lead seals
- 13 wheat cents including what looks to be a railroad track victim!
- junk adjustable ring
- and an older pin that was a little crusty when found. Could see a little glint of gold and didn't think anything else of it. Upon getting it home, whatever the crusty stuff was started to come off the top of it. Now the rest of the pin was gold plated, but there looks to be a thin sheet of solid gold on the top. Quite a surprise to see it clean up how it did. Should this be considered "gold" in the excel sheet? Might be able to get 1/10 of a gram out of it, haha. Tempted to try prying it off, but not sure that'd end well.

HH all!

Good for you, gettin' out there practically every day, and gettin' such good results each time!

What's the silver count at, now?

Any interesting designs/lettering on the lead seals?

    Thanks everyone!
Hey LordM, good seeing you back!! How are the prospects looking for your England trip?

With yesterday's haul, that makes 88 silver coins for the year.

One of the lead seals has "B&M" for Boston & Maine Railroad and a number on the back. The second longer one has the name of a town on it and a couple of numbers. These lead seals are always neat to pull out.
