MSNBC is reporting that the House just announced that they will not vote on a budget deal tonight after all. Metal markets just about to reopen.

Part of me is loving it because I hope more Americans will start asking questions about the spending of their tax dollars and the dwindling net on their paychecks. Eventually they might start inquiring about the lost purchasing power of what they have left on payday.

Here's the scenario, it's the 11th hour (tonight), the House once again tries to add riders to the debt ceiling bill. The Senate votes down the bill at the stroke of midnight. Chaos ensues in the futures markets, but at 6:00am the President has Jack Lew pick up a $1,000,000,000,000 platinum coin from the Mint and he deposits it with the Fed; crisis averted.

I think we'll find out the direction of Congress after the Steve Lonegan - Cory Booker results for Senator.

So much drama. The media is going to win an Academy Award on this one. What a wonderful case study of fear mongering.

Don't forget the lack of factual reporting. Let's see, I can't pay the minimum balance on my credit card this month so I'll call the CC company and ask them to raise my limit.

What's more destructive ....... the continual borrowing and priniting of money (hidden tax) the country can't afford, or actually proposing a budget that starts to scale back the spending ?

If you think the latter, beware of the torches coming your way. image
