On Sunday October 6, 2013 Dealers Judy Cash and Jim Lee of Capital Coins in Olympia, Washington were victims of a vehicle burglary after leaving the Portland coin show and stopping in Woodland, Washington.
The suspects jimmied the lock of their van and removed brief cases containing over $50,000 in gold, slabs and raw coins.
A white sedan and pearl grey van are possible suspect vehicles. The sedan was driven by a white female and the van was occupied by a white male.
Four trays of raw coins in 2x2's were taken and have the identifying markings pictured below.

<< <i>Not again!! When will they learn?? >>
more then likely they wont. jmo
If they follow you to another city, they know what they're doing. You better know what you're doing and what you're gonna do.
With the rash of recent coin dealer car burglaries, you would think that security would be high up on the list. But, it always happens to the other guy and not you. Guess what, to the other guy YOU ARE THE OTHER GUY.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
<< <i>Looks like its getting to the point where dealers need to rent armored trucks when traveling to and from shows. I hope they catch the thieves. >>
Maybe but some may leave the thing running in a parking lot while they run in for a quick cheeseburger too and lose the whole armored truck!

Think of the implication(s) of posting such personal info on a public forum.
Heck why bother robbing banks, when there are easier/safer targets.
Flame away.
That's my 1/4 dollar's worth:
original thread?
.
Sorry for these two dealers. Hope they are insured, but I think insurance only cover when the person is in the presence of the coins, not when the coins are locked up away in some car.
I wish the frequency of these threads would diminish, seriously.

I am thankful I could leave one of my most valued items, truly rare, in the middle of Times Square at 12 noon and no one would bother to pick it up or even notice it.
