I think I have a memory of people saying most of those racks are fake with the multi stars, so I'd stay away from the wax then too

Just curious on how some can fake a rack pack as far as opening them up to add the stars.
  • I was going to buy a lot of 1979 Topps baseball from this seller & looked at the pics of the wrappers and they looked tampered with & another member agreed ( who has a good idea what to look for). Personally Id stay away...looks too good to be true

Most of the early 80s racks with stars on top have cards in the wrong sections. Not a big fan of the stock photos selling an endless supply of vintage wax, either.

One of their most prolific buyers (ohrather) has also been discussed on these forums, too.

I emailed her several times about listing an entire box at once. As I told her, you will make more money this way than selling over and over three packs at a time. How do I know - I would purchase a box using BIN for more than her combined auction sales. All I needed were some decent photos of the backs of the packs. Her responses were pretty evasive and nonsensical. At the end of the day, she said she liked selling three at a time and never provided me photos of the packs. That's a huge red flag. I have stayed away and would recommend doing the same.
Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

Just a heads up, as this seller has currently listed a NG 1980 rack with Henderson and Bench on top.

  • What are you guys talking about? I bought the 83 rack with Gwynn, Sandberg, Boggs on front and Ryan, Brett, Bench on back. Are you telling me it's not real? I also bought her 52 rack with mantle mays showing. Crap you guys really bum me out with this talk of her packs not being real.....image
