Almost made a big OPC near-set purchase mistake.

A guy on eBay - perfect feedback - was selling a run of OPC sets from 1977-1981. Full of "PSA 9 and 10" quality cards, "centering varies." He states in his description for each that he had "sold random cards from each set to friends that needed set fillers over the past year, which is why they are missing a few - and am now selling the remainder of the sets."

At the very end is a short list, by number only. I almost didn't look them up, since they were random fillers. But I did.

So these "random" "filler" cards included:
1977 - Ryan leader, Brett, Munson, Carew, Winfield, Schmidt, Yaz, Garvey
1978 - Ryan, Murray, Winfield, Yount (I stopped looking at that point)
1979 - Ozzie, Bench, Molitor, Winfield, Yount, Seaver
1980 - Brett, Murray, Yount
1981 - Pretty much every high dollar card, similar to the other sets

Technically, he did provide the information, but the way he did it was very misleading to me.

Here you go. Let me know if you think maybe still an okay deal. Didn't strike me that way at all.

The sets look to be in FANTASTIC shape! Many key cards taken out but the prices he got were very good.

I dont think he was trying to hide anything. In his title, it shows the sets were short cards. He listed the numbers in each auction.
