How many coins do you own that are worth more than your car?

My poor beater of a car had a rough day today. It got me thinking about how much more I invest in and how I take MUCH better care of my coins than my car. I'm interested to see how many collectors here are the same way.
For those of you with multiple vehicles, consider "your car" the one you use most functionally for getting from point A to B.

Good point.
Mine it getting to that point as well. Changing a front flat tire the other day, the frame bent slightly. I was afraid the weight of the car on the jack would break right through it!

My wife, however, has a nice one...safe, reliable, fun to drive, and cost me more than I care to tie up in any one coin.
Which guy is the numismatist ?

<< <i>Since I'm way past the stage where I would want a hot car to "pick up chicks", I'm quite content to rattle around in my '97 Ford Ranger pickup (my wife drives the "good" late model car) - it's well maintained and I hope it will last quite a few more years which means more money for the hobby. >>
Hey! I have a 1997 Ranger! Best little truck I've owned.
<< <i>Which car?
The Maser of course, Ankur

I dunno, but judging from his glasses and the rear view window the guy on the left seems to like the car!

Edit - Zero cars here! Not coins

1984 Ranger been driving it for 12 years now (bought 2001), Most of my coins are worth more then that truck, pd $1500 for it and alot of repairs over the years probably couldn't get $200 for it as a trade in but I would put it in the body shop and get it all fixed up if it was ever hit. If I put new car money into that, it would be a show truck.
and I would NOT trade it for my wifes car (2006), now a shiney new coin might do it! naw!

Years with no air conditioning, being the eyesore of the neighborhood, along with the frustration of trying to merge onto the freeways with people running me off the road.....
Years of that and I'm finally driving a comfortable, moderately fast and pretty decent car- for me that is..
Nothing fancy, but practical, and like my other cars, I'll drive it into the ground!
Most of those years with the beaters had zero as well!
So, at this point of time- zero
In a few years though... It'll be a bunch again as I drive my current ride into the ground
Edited for typo and clarification...

(which isn't saying much about my collection OR my daily driver).
Got a coin worth more than my first and second car, '86 Ford Escort and '87 Ford Crown Victoria (land yacht).
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
I have owned my current car for 11 years at the end of this month. It's a 2002 BMW 325- I Cabriolet.
I love the car, it still looks great - only has 91,000 miles on it, most of which were highway miles going
back and forth from Naples, Fla to Cape Cod, Mass.
At the moment I think I have a couple of coins worth more than my car. The two Barber Die Caps.
Next year, I think most of my SLQ's will be worth more than the car.

He's fine, thanks. The car, on the other hand, may be toast.

My father in law worked for a Cadillac dealership for 35 years, and he said the exact same thing. Also, repair costs on Cadillac's are really high, because of all the special tools exclusively for Cadillac that have to be used in routine maintainence. and repair.
