Smoe interesting info: That flight from China to Memphis leaves around, for example, 11pm on a Friday and arrives Memphis at around 11:30pm...on that same Friday. It's only a 30 minute flight but it takes 13 hours to complete. It's messes with your brain. You depart late evening and it gets light quickly and stays light for a really long time because you're so far north. Then somewhere around the north central states it gets dark...fast.
I knew it would happen.

Another F/O and I went to the Gold Souq/Spice Market about 2 miles West of the hotel. Down by the beach, took a cab, about 12 dirhams.
Probably about 100 stores that sell nothing but gold jewelry, only 2-3 places had gold coins and bars in the window. There was another building called the Gold Center that had a lot more silver, but, I didn't recognize and main brand names and was a little hesitant about buying a couple kilo silver bars. Plus, wasn't sure about traveling into and out of China with a couple kilo bars in my bag with customs and all.
Looking forward to flying with you some day so we can talk precious metals for 16 hours from HKG to MEM!!!
