<< <i>The guy has sold some of the most amazing graded minis over the last year or so. Was shocked to see this tonight: Gum and all >>
And a relativbe bargain when you considere how much the infamous 78 and 79 wrappers and gum sold for! Selling the gum is just garbage, plain and simple.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Obviously, calling these jerks out has little effect on them. Their greed is just disgusting. This just goes to show if you are going to collect something, in this case unopened, educate yourself as to what to look for to spot the fakes before you plop down your money. A true collector doesn't need a ton of wrappers and gum so you know with 99.99% certainty where these are going to end up. But if you're a member here chances are you already know this. If only there was a way to get this out to the general public and the beginning collector. They are the ones that are going to get burned.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW What a Ride!' Mark Frost
Just saw it this morning and came on here to post about it. Not surprised Jim was all over this. I guess when your name is "Mini"Duff, you are the first to know.
Everyone has their own moral compass and, unfortunately, some work much better than others. As prices continue to rise for unopened, I think we will see this happen more and more.

Collecting: Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
That's lame and yes from this seller is surprising.
This guy has single handed doubled or tripled the POP report this past year for 88 Score Glossy Alomar RC in PSA 10. Went from POP 8 to 29. He endlessly lists them :-(

<< <i>so...would it be okay to sell one wrapper at a time or 5 wrappers at a time???
what is the magic number? just no gum, right... >>
My two cents, one wrapper at a time or a small bundle of the wrapper variations (i.e. different mail in offers on back) for a given year would cause no issues.
No gum would be key, especially the wider gum. It's an obvious reseal when they put the 80s gum in a 70s pack.
He removed the gum. I know of at least one message he received requesting he do so. I commend the seller for taking action and putting priority on he hobby over his economic gain. Well done.
I think it just goes to show that a sole proprietor can be reasonable and will be commended for seeing the light and doing the right thing. As opposed to, say, a collective of collectors. Today was a good day.
