Something more serious - 10/10 Update

Thanks for the laughs everyone. Now for something more serious.

MY grandson who was born on Labor Day weekend in not doing good. He sleeps all the time, rarely cries and has gained only two oz.

when I got home today my wife was crying and said my Daughter took him to the doctor because he would not wake up. The doctor

said if he has the same problem tonight to rush him to the hospital. He is scheduled for a whole battery of tests and blood work tomorrow.

I held him in my arms and he looked at me like he wanted to say something but could not. I could not stop crying. Would everyone please

say a prayer for Hunter tonight. imageimage

My heart sank, that's some tough news. I'll pray that the doctors have the wisdom to diagnose the cause of the problem and HIS protection on this little fellow until he gets better. Also for peace and patience for the family as they move forward with the doctors.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Before I heard the latest today I sent an email to my Daughter telling her

not to worry. I said he was just getting off to a slow start. I hate it when I am wrong and this time more that

ever in my life I hope I am right. My daughter lost her last baby a little over a year ago and I am praying

every thing will turn out ok this time.

when i was 12 i was sick, fever for a year, blood counts off, I was told i was diagnosed with an unknown blood something (I wondered how you'd diagnose that) and I was going to die much sooner than later...and...it went away. that is 32 years ago. stuff happens. some call it "miracle". whatever the correct term, may such a thing happen for Hunter.

Many thanks to everyone. It was a long hard day yesterday. On a side note a co-worker and friend was taken off life support yesterday

as he suffered a massive stroke on Labor Day and the doctors give him little chance of survival. He has not passed on as of this morning.

Hunter made it through the night and today is another day. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. It really helps to know that so many

wonderful people care and send their prayers. The specialist will start their tests today with an upper GI and more blood work. Hopefully they

will find something soon. The hardest part is not knowing what you are dealing with. I will update tonight or tomorrow when I know something more.

Again thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. It means so much to Hunter, myself and all of the family.

    Peace be with you.

My co worker and friend who was taken off life support on Wednesday passed yesterday. May he rest in peace.

Hunter went through a long day of test's, xray and blood work yesterday. My daughter is with him at the doctors this morning.

I asked her to call as soon as she gets home. She just called and all tests came back normal. Everything looks good from xray.

He has gained a little weight back. She has to keep a close eye on him and go back to doctor next week unless anything else happens.

They will not do any further tests for now unless other symptoms develop. They want to give him time to get a little stronger first.

All the prayers and well wishes have helped as he appears to be stable for now. Will update next week.

God Bless All and your families.
