  • You must do a lot of business with Rick Probsteiin.
  • I've been consigning with him since 2010. I write the listings for cards that may be low pop, serial numbered, etc. Ship them out and that's it. Rick almost always pays a day or two after the auctions end. Much more efficient IMO than selling on your own.

Nice cards. Good luck with sale
  • I have a question since you wrote the listings. Your listing for Dick Drago #426 PSA 9 says "tough, only 3 higher". I checked the pop report and it's a pop 30 PSA 9, which based on the pops of other cards isn't low. So what's "tough" about it?
  • The Drago may have been an error on my part. I wrote the titles where there where low pop 9's, and or 10's. Also listed the Pop amount.

141 auctions ending tonight between 8-10PM Eastern time.

  • If that was an error there seem to be quite a few of them. I found the following cards that were described as "tough" or low pop:

    Steve Rogers, pop 28
    Dave Hamilton, pop 28
    George Foster, pop 62 (!!!!!)
Don Money, described as a super low pop of 20
    Bill Stein, pop 29
    Vern Ruhle, pop 26
    Pete Broberg, pop 33
    Manny Trillo, pop 33
    Lynn McGlothlen, pop 28
    Ken Singleton, pop 28

There may have been more, but based on the pop reports there are tons of cards with lower pops. These are not particularly hard cards relative to others, so what were you doing? Is Rick Probstein reviewing these listings?
  • Carlos is all up on ya. Maybe you need to pay a little more attention to detail? But if Rick doesnt care...so be it.
  • Not really sure what the issue is explaining the Pop report in a listing, explaining how many are higher, if a card is tough meaning a low Pop PSA 9.... The listings are stating facts, If you don't like them don't bid. But thanks for looking at them.

  • Carlos, you are crossing a line here that many board members know not to cross. Don't poop in other people's for sale threads. As mentioned, if you don't like anything, move along. If you do, then bid or ask questions if your actually interested in the item. Otherwise, you are just being a troll.

Nice cards Mike, especially that Munson.
  • Foo, is that a "red line"?

I was asking a legitimate question. I know this set and those cards that were marketed as tough or low pop are neither. I asked about it because the seller marketed those cards on this forum and there may be bidders who will take the listings as fact without checking the pop reports. As to your point about "if I don't like something, move along", I will not do that. I asked a legitimate question after the seller marketed the cards on this forum and I still have not gotten a straight answer. It's been my experience that if someone plays fast and loose in the listings, they will play fast and loose in other ways.

It's the right of every person who sees a listing to ask legitimate questions about what the seller is selling. Sorry if you don't like it, and by the way, it's "you're", not "your."
  • You're (Thanks!) a complete troll and an alt which is why you even block PM's. You will not last long around here.

    Bump for a great seller.

For what it is worth, a 1975 Mini Rick Burleson is a pop 27 in PSA 8 with 4 higher. It is an absolute beast you will not see for under $100, sometimes $200 if one hasn't been seen in a while. A novice would think that was nuts, but a mini collector would know the truth of the listing if it were described as low pop and tough.

If you are collecting a registry set, at a competitive level (8-10 depending on the set), you already do (or should) have a knowledge of what you are buying.

  • Foo - Pm turned on. Contact me anytime.

Those are good comments MiniDuff, but I said nothing about what cards would sell for or what people on the registry need them. The cards are either low pop relative to others in the set or not.

I'll have no more to say about this. I stand by what I said.
