Brilliant White vs toned is a preference not an originality absolute. No one grader is “god” in numismatics lol.
Technically a coin with any kind of tarnish (toning) is not really original as it has already been damaged by the atmosphere and this process will continue to the point the surface darkens.
I like nice toners as well as Gem Brilliant BU Coins with super cartwheel luster. I reject coins with dark spots as so do most off the bourse. Most of my customers over the years prefer brilliant untoned or barely toned material with super luster. These coins for the most part are PQ in my opinion.
