New to the board just introducing myself

I am new to the board but not the hobby. The first pack of Topps I opened as a kid was 1980 and I've been hoarding ever since, with a few breaks here and there. My interests are mainly baseball and I'm currently putting together a 1956 Topps set on the registry in 7 to 8 grades. I am also working on basic runs of Brooks Robinson, Hank Aaron and Koufax in the same grades. I'm an active duty Marine just back from deployment and have spent many a morning scanning this board staying up to date on my hobby which always helps keep me sane while I'm away. I figured why not start talking instead of just scanning the threads. Looking forward to talking baseball and just sports in general with everyone here!

There seems to be a run of Guys on here that say the first packs they opened or set they collected first is the 1980 Topps, myself included.
Glad to see a new collector on the boards...I wish you and your collecting well.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Be sure to share your Hammer purchases. It's always nice to see high end Aaron cards.
Like many others here, I'd like to first thank you for your service.
I think you'll find this board to be a great resource and there are many great guys on here. Looking forward to reading your posts and possibly seeing some of your collection in the future.
