I have had coins come across the table in old ANACS holder's but this is the first time I have seen this exact type of packaging. Thought I would share.

relicsncoins is doing a type set with coins in just these holders. He specializes in them at least to a certain degree. I cherrypicked one not to long ago and sent it his way. It was a proof Jefferson.

I have seen what you have before. What I was referencing is that the whole thing is in a wallet type holder all sealed up. That flip is in a larger flip that is sealed shut and then sealed to the larger wallet which has multiple parts.

Ahhhh, I imagine that is something that the dealer did or something that may have been popular at one time, not sure. I sent a PM to relicsncoins for him to visit the thread and maybe he has seen it before?

  • It was this packaging, or something very like it, that I remember was rolled out first in the local B&M. It had its own case - a 1921 MS63 Morgan. These plastic-wallet thingies in green and or blue w/black are all I recall from back then. The B&M folks and old timers initially disregarded all of this. Those were good times for buying, esp raw. Rolls dumped onto tables of what was then called Select (MS63) and Choice (MS65) Mercury dimes rolls - your choice $5. The dealer was ripping" me, I then sold it to my B&M for maybe $50-70 and they sold it for ? I was a kid. It was all fun image
