    That's not true. Sure the NFC champ won every year from 1984-96 but then from 1997-2006 the AFC won eight out of ten. Since 2007 the NFC has won four out of six but the AFC won it last year. And in a single elimination playoff/tournament format, you can't really say "no chance". After all nobody gave the six seeded 2005 Steelers a chance either...

    I promised my wife we'd have a Super Bowl party should her Patriots prevail Sunday (it'll be our third out of the 8 1/2 years we've been married)...then maybe this time the Pats can finish the job...

    NFC bias?

    Where does that come from? If anything there is less coverage of these NFC teams because they are on the west coast and the east coast bias in coverage is well known.

    It may just be due to the fact that I live in the SF Bay Area and listen/watch primarily local sports media who have a pro 49er and pro NFC outlook, but for years the template presented has been NFC great, AFC lousy.

    Why? He's as responsible for the Pats beating Indy as one guy could be. Why wouldn't they put him on the cover?

    No need to attempt to discuss the obvious reasons why the SI cover is historically a bad idea, you will refuse to acknowledge it.

    So you've got no problem with the player on your team but when the media wants to highlight him suddenly its not ok? If that's not what is it? You're not a grown up who believes in curses are you ?
