    It is amazing how often these crooks are afraid to take a decent photograph of the crap they are trying to sell. The photo is either taken at an odd angle or it is out of focus.

    Beginning collectors should note that and generally stay away when the photography is bad. Alarm bells should really go off when you see a key date, expensive item like this. If something is supposed to be $2 grand or more, the least you can do is post a decent photo of it, unless you have something to hide.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Roger that Bill Jones. The blurry Ebay tilt image is necessary to forward the scam. I'll be combing key dates and early dollars all weekend. A fraudster never rests, neither do I.

    EDIT: The 93S is still up, seller never got back to me.

    If you want to spend a lot of money on eBay, you should only buy PCGS/NGC certified coins, and even then you may want to post the auction here before you make the payment.

    Are you kidding with me????? LOL, I only bid to keep others from losing their money. Never with any intention of adding to my
    collection of CC dollars or such. I've been bidding on these fakes for years and used to have a blast with some of our former forum
    members in bidding them beyond the moon (Mark Feld comes to mind for one, Lance for another). I'm not a newby and have been
    a collector going on 60 years now.
