Looks like you got the exception to the rule, nice cards, most should nine. Curious, were your packs Red missing color wrappers, if so this case made up from boxes from different print runs?

BasherBoy....my boxes haven't shown yet either, on road 8/30....setting in CA since the 1st. Mine should be coming through Des Moines, maybe the tracking numbers got messed up?
My box looks to have wandered on to Cincinnati, not sure why since to get from Cincy from Des Moies they had to pretty much roll right past me. been a strange path, especially bouncing around CA the first 4-5 days

Mike I checked and the wrapper/Lot number on my two boxes are one digit off from yours ! Yours 0-359-74-01-5....Mine 0-359-74-02-5. So the Case was made up of different Box runs. Would explain some wrappers correct and some with missing printing. But right or error per Box, not mixed up in the Boxes.

Since this case had boxes with that black mark, doesn't that mean that these were random unsold packs from retailers bundled back together? And if that's true, then it's unlikely the centering/condition of the cards would match from box to box, or even from pack to pack.

Correct....FYI, all boxes with black x marks or black slashes are returns from retailers to Topps at the end of the season. Topps then puts them together in cases and "wholesales" them out to hobby retailers, thus cases are marked "Final Sale No returns". Cases so marked can have print runs months apart.
