I picked up and searched an amazing box of half dollars yesterday.

So I get a whole bunch of boxes every week, and once in a while, I hit gold. Well, silver, but you get the idea. Yesterday, I searched my best box yet, by a mile.

More silver than you can shake a stick at! To be exact, there were 20 Franklins, 99 1964's, and 82 40%. Now, typically, you get way, way more 40% than 90%, my historical average is about a 3:1 ratio of 40% to 90%... so this is a fairly extreme outlier. 201 keepers in a single box blows away my prior best of 121, which was mostly 40%ers. Just thought I'd share, I feel kind of bad for the person who dumped $1k+ in silver for face value.

Why not ask the teller to track down the customer that turned in the coins? That way, you can share the windfall and feel better about it.
