What else would you collect if you didn't spend so much on sportscards ?

What else has caught your eye, but you never buy it because there just isn't enough funds ?

Would you collect game used jerseys, bats, balls, non-sports cards(i.e., wacky packages, etc.,etc),
toys, wine, movie memorabilia, etc. etc.

Would you buy that 69 Chevy and keep it in the garage for a nice summers day ?

Vintage magazines ? Historcial artifacts ? Civit War, Presidential ?

Probably comic books. I think I have 2, but they have still always interested me.
  • Old us currency (the large size ones). It's my first love actually, I've built up a nice collection with a few ultra rare ones.

    Wine...specifically Vintage Port.

I can't afford to buy enough to 'collect' it as my consumption volume exceeds my purchasing volume.

I also collect Macross toys and autographed baseballs.
  • I would maybe finish up my collection of original NES Nintendo Games. I havent bought a game since 2005 but I got all the ones I wanted and more so I am very satisfied with my current collection.

My card collection has paid for itself through the years, so technically I wouldn't have any extra money if I never collected.

But, if I did, I'd probably spend it on pointless computer upgrades.

    Better scotch.
  • Strippers! i kid. image Seriously, it would be comics. I've actually collected comics, but not at the same time when I start doing cards. Only thing with graded comics is the packaging when selling. Much easier to send/receive cards.

But your kids will outgrow their clothes and you'll just get a new bill next month.

I would collect money. As it is, I have none. I do, though, have a lot of baseball cards from 59-87.

Silver Strikes from Vegas. Always loved those things. I have a few dozen now but nothing close to what I want. I would also collect prohibition era liquor bottles and still equipment. Love the history of that time.

Probably vintage guitars and classic cars. I don't want to collect more passport stamps because my book is already overflowing from work travel. Staycations are fine with me!

I have that exact receiver down in my basement (Marantz 2215. I got it before I went to college, which was FOREVER ago). Fun.

I would collect 19th century U.S. Stamps, U.S. type coins, U.S. currency, and comic books.

I suppose non-sport unopened packs and cards isn't in the spirit here. : )

A few stand up arcade games would be fun. I like silver and gold too.

I have around 50 watches in my collection, but I'd have a lot more. Most I own are under $300, but my goal is to have one example from all the major makers. IWC is high on my list right now. I also want a vintage Heuer from before they were TAG. Some of my favorites in my collection include watches with meteorite and mammoth ivory dials.

I'd have more prints from one of my favorite artists as well, JB Thompson.

I'd expand my fossil and gem collection.

I brew some, so I'd have more vintage carboys and demijohns...I love 300+ year old glass from the South of France and Spain.

Finally, I'd have a few more handguns and a rifle or two more.

Lloyd Cole and Paul Weller CD singles. I have also been trying to put together the full collection of the annual KGSR Thanksgiving CDs from the Austin radio station. Volume 2 still costs over $100 on the eBay. With my money going to 2012 Topps Mini gold cards (188 more and I'm through) it has fallen to the bottom of the priority list.

Also, I have found myself looking at Marvel's Defenders comics on the eBay as well. I had a subscription in junior high and fear what would happen if I broke the seal.
