    I would LOVE to tell the tales of 15 years (and counting) of retail but I really do like my job. Customers are amazing creatures but whenever I get to feeling all superior and crap, I remind myself that I too am a customer and probably have been the subject of conversation.

    Yes. I totally know what you're saying and I couldn't agree more. Too often the customers forget that shop owners are humans (and often their neighbors). The reverse is also true.
