Easiest way to post pics??

I am no computer genius obviously... every time I try to post some card pics from my desktop it says the files are too big?? what is the easiest way to post my cards within a thread? Thanks a lot.

Hi, I've found it easiest to set up a photobucket account and link your pictures from that site.
  • Or you can take a moment of your own time and do a look up in the search engine here and write in a key word and I'm sure you can answer your own question most of the time.
  • ok thanks Dodgerfan!

A totally uncalled for post. The man clearly marked his thread with Easiest way to post pics?? If it bothers you that he needs help but maybe not the inclination or time to
do the research then move on to the next thread with out clicking on this one. I myself went to the search feature to try to find previous posts on the subject and the search feature
is not working for me right now. Maybe he did try to search and maybe it's not working for him either. I thought we were here to try to help one another.
Edited to add: To the OP the previous post to upload your pics to site such as photobucket and then copy them here is the method I use.

Just another reason why this place is dying and or dead. Lose the attitude and remember it wasn't that long ago that you were the new kid around here.
  • Sorry. Just a bit edgy today. Nothing personal against anyone here. My apologies.

No problems. Takes a stand up guy to be accountable. (Are you listening Ryan Braun?)

In order to post a pic, you need a photo hosting site. I use photobucket -- free to sign up.

On the mac, when you click command-shift-4, you get a nifty little icon that lets you crop the image.

Presto magic, it's on your deskstop usually as Picture1, then Picture 2 and so on. You can try the command-shift-4 anytime to practice, even now.

Then, sign into photobucket and upload image. When the image is in photobucket, copy the link that has [IMG] in front of it (one of the four choices under the image).

Then back to posting on the message boads -- click the little picture frame icon (next to the unlined U), post the link.

PLEASE NOTE, everything I do this, the [IMG] shows up twice, in the front and back of the url posted. I simply delete one on each end.

    Hope this works.

P.S. It's much easier than it sounds
