    It can't be, I just advised a buddy to buy large yesterday, which he promptly did,and now it's up.

    Agreed. I really need to invest more in gold. The pessimist in me sees the world's economies getting more unpredictable and fractured as time passes. More instability, in my opinion, bodes well for precious metals like AU.
