I am very excited to finally have this one in my collection. I did want it in an 8 but just couldn't find a nice looking centered one (over a year of searching too) happened to see this by accident and I couldn't resist. Pop 3 with 16 Graded 9 and still no 10's.

Thanks everyone. I was saving for a Jeter SP PSA 9 but there are plenty of those out there so I figured I would go with the one that doesn't show up often at all. Last 8.5 that was for sale was back in 2008. Last 9's showed up and sold in 2011.

Topps29, this card looks like it just popped under 2 months ago so I'm not sure of the exmple that you are referring too nor do I think we are talking about the same card either. For everyone else who asked, I'm not sure why this card is not a 9. Grading is very subjective when they get to these type of high half points. When I scanned the card on the front, it wasnt sitting completely flat in the holder but the centering is actually magnificant but its not perfect either. There's just a little bit more white on the bottom than on the top. Maybe about 45-55. Strong card though for a 59 which a lot of you seem to also recognize.

Good call, Foobert, there are plenty of Jeters out there vs. high grade 59 Maris. Congrats on the pick up!

On a side note, I wish Topps had used the 59 BB design for 58 FB to help mitigate the double whammy of centered borders AND centered ovals.

The Triple sSs brothers owned the card, my error. To help you save $ if I had to beat the house, they asked PSA for the bump already! Still a super card !
