What is your favorite ebay search?

I'm sure everyone has their standard ebay searches. Every few days I'll search "PSA", limit it to auctions and sort by "highest number of bids". It almost always turns up a couple of cool items that I wouldn't have otherwise seen.
Who knew I wanted this?

my fave is "stuff that got listed wrong and no one noticed".

you won't find it in the category list, but it's about the most prominent one out there. image

I have a bunch of random searches that lead me to mislabelled items that I check maybe twice a week and I have a few fun searches that come up with some cool stuff. Here are a few of my fun pick-ups in the past week:

I like to search "piedmont" in collectibles to see if there are any cool advertising pieces (I have only nabbed a couple). I have always wanted one of these chairs and they usually sell for more when listed in "Vintage Sports Memorabilia". Link.

Sometimes I browse "psa/dna cut" to see if there are any bargains - generally cut signatures sell for about 50-75% of index cards, so I consider them a bargain. I noticed this "cut" was actually an index card and bid aggressively for it (Mantle single signed index cards are hard to come by). Link.

Lastly, I like to search through the baseball autographs section for non-authenticated items that are authentic (takes a lot of practice to be good at this) and items that are authentic that don't advertise the TPG (these rarely come up). I saw this one with "COA" in the title. Normally I skip right over these, but right away I recognized the Steiner Letter in the photo. I used to own one of these exact jerseys (121/200 I think) and I decided to bid on this one, I thought I got it at a good price. Link.
    My eBay Store =)

  • I have a saved search that essentially gives me every TPG vintage baseball card being sold at auction at any given time. Returns on average about 1,000 auctions per day. sorting by number of bids usually helps to weed out those auctions w/ overpriced starting bids.

I don't know if I'd call it a favorite, but I use this one to search for older Pete Rose oddball items:

    (1962,1963,1964,1965,1966,1967,1968,1969,1960s,1960) pete rose

    used to be:

    196* pete rose

until eBay in their infinite wisdom removed wildcarding.

    Good stuff.

Getting rid of the wild card "*" really screwed up a lot of my searches!

"1971 topps (wax pack, cello, uncut, box, rack pack)." Unfortunately, it rarely pulls up anything baseball, which is what I look for.
Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

There was a long thread on here regarding a Milton-Bradley Nolan Ryan rookie that was mislabeled as Topps or vice versa. The seller in question knew it was wrong and listed it on Ebay anyway.

Try adding " -(football,nfl,basketball,nba,aba,hockey,nhl,1971-72)". I have a lot of similar Not's on my baseball searches.
