Anybody know what this DiMaggio card is?

Not mine, posting for a friend of mine. Two questions:

1) What is it?
2) Is it real?

I've never seen one, but I wasn't looking either. Have you had an opportunity to look at the ink under magnification? If it's pixelated, it's definitely a modern creation.

1947 N281 Mackison Dairy, portrait variation. They were only issued out of a small dairy outside of Nashua, NH. I do know that the D'Ambrosio brothers were counterfeiting these and selling them at shows in the late '80s, though most of the counterfeits have a slightly misaligned dot after the 'A' in 'A.L'. I don't see that in yours, so there's a chance it's real.

Strong card- should sell for about $600 in it's apparent grade if the card is in fact authenticated.

    Hope this helps.

Don't think that effort wasn't appreciated. Outstanding work, although I will take this once in a lifetime opportunity to direct you here..

    He used it correctly Tom.

As per the website you linked - Rule 1: When you mean it is or it has, use an apostrophe.

He was one for two (at least I think). The cat hurt its paw.

Upon further review, that is correct.

    the real answer...
its basically worthless, its 1/4th of a 1977 Jim Rowe Exhibit style postcard (4 images per card similar to a 4-in-1 Exhibit)

the original 'collector issue' cards have little value, and this one was cut into 4 pieces

    PS Mr Boop

'N' stands for Nineteenth Century Tobacco, and N281 is a 60 card set of policemen card (aka 'American Scenes') by Buchner ca.1887

try for "F" next time, ie 'dairy/food issues' lol image
