Whats the best way to store unopened Hobby Boxes?

When my daughter was born last June, i decided to purchase a bowman jumbo hta box each year. When she turns 18....whether she likes it or not by that time we are going to have a hay day!!! My question is ...what is the best way to store these? Cards will stick together over time im sure but if there is a science to this please let me know.

Thanks

Really depends you where you live but humidity control is very important. Where I live humidity is a major problem so I have damp rids in the closet. AC helps a lot also.

make sure they are off the floor to prevent flooding issues.

I would think dark, cool and dry is ideal. I wonder if Rubbermaid boxes would provide suitable protection?

I feel like my whole unopened collection is in danger of someday being discovery and ripped by my two year old son. That's something to consider when stashing this box.

  • The only thing i have to worry about is me opening them!! Haha

I thought about just getting some rubbermaid tubs & store them that way.

I put the thin kind of bubble wrap around the nicer boxes I have for some added protection to help keep the cardboard nice. Then after that in some nice plastic storage boxes I have. I think a key thing is to be careful of stacking the card boxes on top of one another. You don't want the weight pressing down and squishing the bottom boxes. I see lots of photos here of great collections sitting in the open and stacked 5 or more high. I imagine long term that can't be great for storage.
