The Bartman episode. I was in Chicago for Game 1 of the 2003 NLCS. As a fan of the Cubs I paid very close attention to what went down in Game 6. The part of the episode that still sticks with me is a camera shot where he appears to be trying to get on TV during a wide shot of the field. It was a sad situation that went down in regards to how he was treated.
I've only seen probably 10 of them- but my favorite is "Survive and Advance" (NC State/Valvano). And it's not a remotely close race.

Natural. Rock star. Outsider. In the 1980s, race car driver Tim Richmond lived his life the way he raced cars - wide open. Born into a wealthy family, Richmond was the antithesis of the Southern, blue-collar, dirt-track racers who dominated NASCAR. He also was a flamboyant showman who basked in the attention of the media and fans - especially the attention of female admirers. Nevertheless, it was Richmond's on-track performances that ended up drawing comparisons to racing legends. And in 1986, when he won seven NASCAR races and finished third in the Winston Cup series points race, some believed he was on the verge of stardom. But soon his freewheeling lifestyle caught up to him
6/17/94 was the best. Done differently than all the others and most documentaries in general. Rise and fall of the USFL was fun to see Trump look like the idiot he is. The worst two were the Steinbrenner one and the Red Sox 04 one (and I'm a red sox fan). Both were terribly done.
I also liked the Reggie and the Knicks one for fun.
The one I'm most looking forward to is the 86 Masters one when it inevitably happens.

Amen! Let me say that growing up in NC and an NC State fan since I could walk, I like your style. I remember making a bet on the National Championship Game, at the ripe age of 6, for a whole $1!
The Two Escobars was just incredible. I'd put it up against any documentary for any subject.
I'm not sure if most people appreciated what they were seeing, but Run Rickey Run really shot right into the heart of mental illiness using a figure we were all familiar with. I had no idea what the guy was thinking at the time and some of that footage from him at home when he should have been on the field was very telling.
On a much lighter note, the Reggie Miller one was so much fun. I personally don't think it's an important topic and somehow those guys got me to watch it twice it was so much fun.
There were so many great ones. Into the wind; Once Brothers; Guro of go. Yes there were a few duds, but what a great concept and what great execution on the whole thing.

They are all great, but "Without Bias" was very personal for me since I went to the University of Maryland from 1984-1987, and my roommate went to HS with Derrick Lewis.
SMU Pony Excess was good for those of us old enough to remember the Mustang glory days. I liked the Tim Richmond To the Limit also. Nascar conveniently glosses over and tries to forget Tim existed IMO. But for one season, 1986, he was as good as you could be. Didn't win the title, Dale did, but Tim was on top of his game that year. Especially that summer.
As a fairly big fan of soccer, The Two Escobars was extremely interesting to me. Side note -- It's pretty much guaranteed that Colombia will qualify for the 2014 World Cup at this point.
Once Brothers was awesome, and to be fair, most of these episodes are extremely interesting. A couple others that have stood out to me were the NC State basketball one as well as the Michael Jordan episode.

Will be the first time they qualified since that infamous world cup.
Falcao has been awesome and this team should not be taken lightly!
Chris Herren Unguarded-powerful....he came to my school where I teach to talk to the students about heroin abuse-he is a great speaker. Such a shame his basketball career was cut short from drug use. Nice to see him doing something positive-
I dislike soccer but the two Escobars was outstanding. I couldn't watch the one on the Gretzky trade being such an Oilers fan in the 80s. Keeping in mind every subject is not something that interests me I think the Chris Evert Martina one was horribly done. The subject matter did not interest me at all but the way it was made was junk. I really liked Marcus Dupree, the USFL one and Elway to Marino.
I've liked almost all of the 12 or so I've seen. A couple I haven't seen mentioned here yet that I thought were great are "The Real Rocky" and "The Marinovich Project".
I forgot about The Real Rocky. That one was great.
Honorable mentions after Survive And Advance for me are that one, the Bo Jackson one, and The Fab Five.

For fun, I love the one about Reggie Miller.
If I had to name a favorite I guess it would be the SMU one - Pony Excess
No lie, Bartman has shown a level of integrity with his silence and refusal to cash in on his "infamy" that I would vote him into public office.

2. Elway to Marino
<< <i>I think mine would have to be "Little Big Men" about the 1982 Kirkland Washington team that won the little league world series. >>
That one infuriated me. The way the pitcher from Kirkland was treated after they won the title was so fricking unfair.
6/17/94 was interesting because of the way it was done.
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
1. The Two Escobars
2. Marcuss DuPree
3. Elway to marinio
4. Bo Jackson
5. Bird/Magic
I have not seen 6/17/94...what was that about?
There were a couple duds. The Chris Every Martina Navratilova one was awful....could have been great. The Steinbrenner one was terrible.
