This is a piece that I really wanted to buy when CRO listed it a while back...but someone else pulled the trigger first. Well I ended up stumbling across it again, contacted the seller, and learned that he is another of our very own forumites [thanks to njcoincrank and Numismatic Americana ]...confirming yet again that we all inhabit a relatively small 'coiniverse'...now that I have it in-hand I couldn't be happier. These are CRO's archive pics and they're pretty sweet but still, in-hand, I think it's even better...the luster on this baby has that 'wet' look and the colors glow. A superbly eye appealing piece. Thanks for lookin'!

I know it's tough to grade by photos but it sure looks like it should be in a 65 holder.
We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.

The matched Hawaiian denomination set was circ., this 25c was a stand alone item.

those gold stickers for MS65.5 and MS65.6 coins. Hard to believe that didn't find its way into at least an NGC MS65 holder during the pre-2009 market.
GB, heck no, those are CRO's super images...I don't have photo skills close to that.

Looks like Mark Goodman took those. IIRC, he was the CRO "house photog" for a long time;
maybe still is.

Not really. The collector who sold us this coin had purchased it raw in the 1980's, submitted it to PCGS himself years later and owned it continuously until 2012.
