Update: guitarwes is the winner! Guessed it spot on - #400 is a 1942 Mercury dime. Guitarwes gets a Mercury dime!
Thanks for guessing everyone!
Although I have technically already passed this milestone, I have kept my two stages of detecting separate and will continue to keep both instances separate.
Since getting back into detecting in 2009, 394 silver coins have come to light by the ol' E-trac. Breakout is:
2009: 51
2010: 64
2011: 62
2012: 165
2013: 52 and counting
The contest is to guess what silver coin #400 will be (assuming there isn't an alien invasion that renders all metal detectors useless). You have to guess the date, mint mark, denomination, and design (if needed such as 1916 dimes), and maybe even Country, as Canadian coins show up from time to time. The person who gets the closest will be sent a mercury dime. Contest ends whenever #400 shows up...hopefully it doesn't stretch on too long. One guess per person.
Good guessing!
In order to avoid dupe guesses, I'll try to keep a running list of guesses:

I'll go with a 1912 Barber dime, since that was the last piece of silver I personally dug. Obviously the 1940s Merc dime guessers have better odds, but I know you find some nice Barbers and older stuff too, so here's hopin'.
And 1912 is a relatively common Barber dime date. I've found two so far.
Keep it beepin', pcgs69! Here's hopin' we'll all be wrong and you'll find a Pine Tree Shilling!
Thanks
Steve

Actually they've been magnetic since 1968. But recent issues have a high steel content in addition to the nickel.
Officially called a 10 Cent piece, although "dime" predominates in English-speaking Canada. It is nearly identical in size to ours.
The word "dime" comes from the French word "dîme" meaning "tithe" or "tenth part."

<< <i>I know we're supposed to choose silver types but I think it'll be a silvery-colored Canada dime, because they're magnetic! If I have to pick a date ... I'll go 2008!

I pulled out a Canadian dime a few weeks ago... saw a little shimmer from it... it was under a root and everything. Thought, "ALRIGHT, SILVER!" Got it home... 1980. Canadian coins don't brown like U.S. coins do when in the ground. A couple years ago saw the silver-colored edge of quarter and figured it was silver...Nope! modern Canadian.
And congrats on an awsome milestone to pcgs69!
