The lower dollar bidders would be the one's that would stick out as shill bidding if any took place. That being said Rick made it clear that he has buyers who bid low on lots of his items and I believe him.

This looks more like some snipes to ensure a win of the auction and two buyers had the same idea and bam you have a $306 close.

I have no idea about a shill but that looks like a Broder to me. I am surprised PSA graded that card as I have only known this card to be a Broder all these years.
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

huh. interesting. Can Broder set registries be too far away? i'm of two minds on this:

    1) PSA slabbing broders is the worst idea ever. By throwing their lot in with scam companies just to sell a few more slabs, they are diminishing their brand.

    2) PSA slabbing broders doesn't matter one iota. Sure they're unlicensed cards, but like other foreign issues and the like that were indeed manufactured and distributed as cards, either regionally or nationally, they can and should be slabbed.

what do you guys think? At $300/pop, i envision the responses will break along the lines of who still has boxes of these in their basement...

I guess it depends on if the hobby overall sees a place for them. They were a big part of the hobby when they were released, even though they were unlicensed. Should it matter to a grading company if cards were unlicensed? Personally, Im a bit back and forth on the whole subject.

    Good points
I don't really care what PSA slabs to be honest. I like the green label for this type of stuff
but thats just my opinion. I feel the same for the King Bee squares and stuff like that..

As far a Griffey goes he has thousands of these unlicensed cards. Some that look great and some
cheese. I guess its just what you like?

300 for a psa 6 is a little steep for me though.
