Splendid Rainbow Mercury Dime here w/TrueView

This was the second coin I just sent in for crossover, a real beauty that I was excited to get a TrueView of to capture the great colors. It used to be in an old ANACS MS66FSB holder. Came back MS65+FB, the first such coin in this date to get that designation. Would've been nice to get MS66FB on this one, but I think this coin with this look could command the higher price if I ever put it on the market. Hope you like it.

Nice coin! It looks a lot like my old 1920. Bought it raw and it graded 64FB image

Sold it to a forum member last year, and I wish I hadn't image

    Brian,

I really like that MS64FB you posted, cool rainbows on both sides. Hopefully you got a fair price from the fellow Board member for that one, I'd have trouble parting with it too.

Better chance of getting a gold bean in this grade. I don't see why it's not a 66. They might have netted it down a tad if the band was not a no brainer. I would think a 65+ FSB CAC is worth more than a 66 regular bands non-stickered. This is the fine line the TPG's have to consider on well struck SLQ's, Mercs, Roosies, etc.

Very beautiful coin. And on another day, it would make 66.

Have to see the coin in hand to comment. In the series I collect, the difference between a MS 65 and a 6 is the latter has either more eye appeal and / or fewer or less noticeable contact marks.
