Afternoon,
I sold a 1988 Football card GEM MINT 10 and happened to have the same one in MINT 9, accidently grabbed the 9 when the 10 sold and sent to the 10 buyer. He opens a case with no communication, no E-Mail to say hey you sent me the wrong card, no nothin' just opens a case. If he would have sent me an E-Mail he would have been sent his correct card and I would have told him to keep the 9 cause not worth the trouble to send back!...But No !!!

at a USPS sorting facility for a few days and not in the buyers hands.
So they blamed me for the slowness of the mail delivery. It was over
a holiday weekend too. They got their card the very next day after
they filed on me and then didn't close out the claim.
Or does he just have a bad track record when he gets a 9 instead of the 10 he bought?
its also sellers with non-paying cases.
I recently bought a card and emailed seller that I wanted to bid on more of his cards. He responded no problem.
4 days later...NPB Really?
To many people are far too serious these days.

It sounds like the seller had the Unpaid Assistant set to automatically file a NPB claim after four days. It is quite possible he forgot that he even had it set to do that.

He could have reached out before filing a claim, but filing a claim because seller messed up isnt blockworthy in my book.
Neil,
Added, thanks. The time he took to open a claim could have been time spent emailing you
to see what happened, god forbid a guy makes a mistake nowadays.Anybody that would just
jump to I'm being scammed has not bought or sold in volume as I know you do.

<< <i>Nothing against you Neil but I'm not sure he's to be blocked. As mentioned, HE probably thought he was getting scammed. I'm surprised you didn't realize that you sent him the wrong card first and messaged him to give him a heads up. He paid for the item he wanted and received the same card in a different grade. I could see why he opened a case. One thing is to get a different card, then I could see him contacting you but he received the same card in a lower grade. I would of freaked out too thinking I was getting scammed, although I think I would of made contact first to possibly clarify and misunderstanding. I don't think he deserves to get blocked. >>
I agree.
Obviously the buyer jumped the gun a little and should have at least attempted contact, but I think you're overreacting.

<< <i>Mistakes happen and the message button is easy to find. I'm with Neil. And while there are lots of people here that understand the buyer's position, I doubt anyone here would actually act like that. >>
Exactly, to answer somebodys question, of course I had no idea I grabbed the wrong card, they were filed right next to each other, and I grabbed a card and sent it (Looked at the 10 and thought I grabbed it, accidently grabbed the 9), why is it so difficult in todays climate to Just Send an E-Mail..."You Sent Me the Wrong Card!" end of story, anybody who argues against that can KMRRA. I had no idea I even sent the wrong card until the case was opened!!! End of Story!!! Of over 2000 cards sent in the last 2 years, probably fricked up 2-3 of them, and you know what, Buyer sent me an E-Mail, I apologized, sent right card, and said Keep the wrong card...its on me!!!
To defend a Buyer who Won't or Didn't send any communication to the Seller "You made a mistake, would you like to correct it?", just shows what's wrong with these boards and our society as a whole!!!
Neil
This is how ebay has purposely set it up, the buyer was only following the cues put in front of him.

You made the mistake. You sent the wrong card. Just because the buyer didn't contact you in a manner that you felt entitled to doesn't change the fact that you effed up the order and caused this whole mess in the first place. Then you come on a message board and whine and complain about being wrongly treated when you were the cause of the whole mess.
But it's the person that filed a claim according to ebays procedures after you screwed up the order that is at the root of society's problems? That makes about as much sense as selling Nazi cards.
