There are a number of red flags on that rack, as none of those 3 star cards are in the section they should typically be found in--Bench should be in middle section, Brett should be in header section, and Yount is typically located in middle section, as well. In the rare occasions that cards from a different sheet are loaded into the wrong section, the bottom card in that section should still be the same as the top card (and every other card in section), but Peterson is a * card (while Bench is a no * card) and Collins is a no * card (while Brett is a * card). The only section in which bottom card matches top card is the far section (both Yount and Hendricks are no * cards) but cards in that far section are typically from two ** sheet.

A full box of 1977 racks was sold on ebay some time ago, and each rack in that box had an factory anomaly in that cards in both middle and far sections contained cards from the two ** sheets (this occurs in 1975 racks as well on occasion), but each card on top and bottom of their respective sections were cut from same sheet, though, and the anomaly was consistent throughout the entire box.

    +1

Anyone know how to compute the odds of three top 5 players of 1976 being on top? think of it as pulling slots. nail lucky 7s and you win a mil in Vegas.

Someone else just posted this as well this morning. I originally thought it was legit simply based on the stellar feedback rating of the seller....but fortunately grote changed that quickly.

Do you think this is a case of the seller being duped or do you think the seller is involved?

I don't think the seller would be screwing around with such great feedback. I think he was duped, but I've been wrong before.
