Remembering Boonk Boonks

It was 7 years ago this week my Boonk Boonks left us, she was a Lilac Point Siamease Mix
and she was born in my closet when we lived on Roscoe Blvd, in the Valley in 1983. She
had the most beautiful sapphire blue eyes I have seen on any living being ever!!!. She was
also the most graceful acrobatic ballarina ever. She was trully an amazing Cat, and I have
lived with a lot of Cats and still do, Boonks stood out, and she was my Little Girl and she knew
it, in the mornings after I'd shower she would jump on my shoulders and actully comb my wet
hair, she always slept next to me, she did so for 23 years, ya 23, thats like 200 in people years.

Ya Boonkie was the neatest, coolest, greatest Cat I ever had, (Don't get me wrong I love all
my Cats) It's just that Boonkie was trully outstanding, except for one little thing, you see
Boonkie was a litte Jewel theifimage and a picky one at that, Boonks just loved GOLD and she
had a few little stashes of her illgotten gain all over the house, any time the Old Lady left
any neclaces around outside of her jewelery box it was open game and when we did find
one of her stashes, Boonks would start another, She even kyped a Brithish 1/2 Sovereign
I left on my desk one time.

The neat thing about Boonkie and her Gold was that she would'nt touch fake/costume stuff
and I tested her quite a few time on this as I'd make a pile of junk costume stuff on the bed with
a real Gold neclace mixed in and she would every time extract the real chain, she never missed
and one time my Old Ladys sister needed some money and tried to sell her, her favorite (Gold)
neclace and we gave it the Boonkie test and it failed, her sister was quite insulted by this and
she took it down somewhere and had it tested and was told it was fake, it looked real to me.

Anyhow it been 7 years since Boonk Boonks left us and I trully miss that little girl, I was blessed
with her for 23 years, She will allways be in my heart.

Interesting story, pets do become part of the family and their loss hurts deeply. She seems like a very special cat. Cheers, RickO
